Building a Strong Online Presence for a Persian-Owned Business

Building a Strong Online Presence for a Persian-Owned Business

Many Persian-owned businesses built their first customers through word of mouth inside their own community. That is a real strength, but growing beyond it means showing up online in a way that strangers, not just familiar faces, can trust.

Start With One Clear Identity

Before worrying about ads or content, make sure your business looks like one consistent entity everywhere it appears. The same business name, the same hours, the same services and the same phone number should show up on your website, your Google Business Profile, your Instagram and any directory that lists you. Small mismatches, like an old address on one platform and a new one on another, quietly cost trust and sales. This is not glamorous work, but it is the foundation everything else sits on.

Build Trust in Both Languages

A Persian-speaking customer and an English-speaking customer are both deciding whether to trust you based on similar signals: reviews, photos, and how you respond when something goes wrong. If your reviews are only in Persian, you may be invisible to the wider market. If your website only speaks to a Persian audience, you cap your own growth. The goal is not to translate everything word for word, it is to make sure both audiences feel the business was actually built for them.

  • Respond to reviews in the same language the customer wrote in, whether Persian or English
  • Keep your Google Business Profile fully filled out, with real photos of your actual location or team
  • Ask happy customers for reviews right after a good experience, instead of waiting and hoping

Avoid the Common Pitfalls

The most common mistake is treating online presence as something you do once and forget. A website that has not been updated in two years, a Google Business Profile with outdated hours, or an Instagram that has gone quiet all send the same message: this business is not paying attention. The second mistake is marketing only inside the Persian community and assuming that is the ceiling. It rarely is. A strong online presence means a business is easy to find, easy to trust and easy to choose, no matter who is searching or in which language they search.
